“No Me Olvides”

No Me Olvides is El Paso,

The desert of modern flowers,

The inspiration of botanicals,

The color of vibrancy,

Like a spotlight shone by the sun,

Highlighting the beauty of the prickly,

The succulents that fill our land,

The water it holds within its growth.

Let the sun shine upon me,

Let me bask in its warmth.

The love of the desert,

No Me Olvides became the siren,

The alarm of my community,

Whose families cross borders,

Whose values transcend,

Because like the monarch butterfly,

We will always ascend

Into who we are meant to be,

Into unity,

Migrating

Across America,

Showcasing our beauty,

Showcasing our city,

For we are the Sun,

And spirit, our love.

No Me Olvides becomes the moon,

As the desert glows beneath the stars,

As the music chimes in our homes,

As we laugh and cheer,

Dance together.

Nothing is more inviting than the summer nights across the desert,

And No Me Olvides is me,

For I am we,

And we are family,

And we beam.

We are the West Point, the west tip,

Claiming victory as we celebrate,

Mis amigos, mis amigas,

Mis niños, mis niñas,

La gente de mi vida,

Hoy y mañana,

Para siempre,

Familia.

No Me Olvides,

Porque juntos somos el corazón,

De los Estados Unidos,

De las Américas.

Somos la gente romántica,

Somos El Paso,

Y yo,

El cuerpo.

To forever remember

The love of the desert,

The love for my people.

The darling of you,

My lover.
