Love Letters

This initiative goes beyond art; it's a call to build connections through creative collaboration. Let's break down barriers and strengthen our community, one mural at a time. Join me in this exciting venture, starting with my personal love letter—a rallying cry for women creatives to unite and share their unique voices.

Let’s work together.

FAQs

  • A transformative artistic journey where I collaborate with diverse female and female-identifying creatives—poets, songwriters, photographers, storytellers—to craft murals inspired by their personal "love letters." These letters can explore relationships with their past, present, future, or any profound connection, allowing artists to express themselves in their preferred medium. I aim to create a mural that resonates with the essence of one to three love letters, showcasing the rich tapestry of diverse voices. The completed murals will feature plaques crediting the contributing artists and their inspirational letters. Our website will be a space to explore these intimate letters, songs, and stories, and share your own love letter. This project envisions expansion beyond our community and fosters connections through collaborative art-making. My primary goal is to ease the collaborative process and strengthen our community across various creative fields, uniting women in a shared celebration of artistic expression and connection.

  • No, not at all! Unless your chosen creative medium is writing, then it makes sense. A love letter can come in many forms—it can be a poem, a screenplay, a song, a recipe, a collage, a comic, a painting, a drawing, textiles, something that's crocheted, a short film, ceramics, and the list goes on. The idea of a "love letter" can be as abstract or as literal as you want. Express your feelings in the way that feels most authentic to you.

  • I like to ask, what does a love letter mean? Who (or what) would I write/create a Love Letter to?

Your letter can be to your past, present, or future self. It can be to your community or your family. It can be happy and mushy, inquisitive or just plain heartbreaking. There aren’t any rules to what your Love Letter is about, after all, it is YOURS.
